Exhibition Callout: 2022

The Basil Sellers Exhibition Centre’s annual exhibition program aims to celebrate local and national creative arts and contemporary culture by supporting and showcasing a cross section of artistic practices.

The Bas invites submissions for solo or group exhibitions for inclusion in their 2022 Exhibition Program.

Applications are open to all artists, artist groups, collaborative practitioners and curators from across Australia. Artists from all backgrounds and levels of experience, including senior, mid-career, emerging, self-taught, established and academic are welcome to apply.

We offer the opportunity to present all mediums including: painting, drawing, print-making, photography, moving-image, installation, mixed media, sculpture, performance, sound, text-based, ceramics, object-based and conceptual practices.

Each application will be assessed by Eurobodalla Shire Council’s Creative Arts team. Applications will be assessed on the following:

  • Artistic merit – Quality of work and ideas
  • Originality – A unique visual or conceptual language
  • Clear and concise – Concept, execution and communication of intent
  • Development – Does this exhibition further the artists’ artistic practice
  • Consideration – Of the exhibition space, intended audience, priority areas*

Successful applicants will receive:

  • A 4-week exhibition slot
  • Professional support with the development of the exhibition
  • Access to the Bas’ equipment and resources
  • Promotion through online and printed resources
  • Opening night event
  • Artist talk facilitation
