Exhibition opening | Southern Highlands Printmakers | An Australian Alphabet

5:30pm - 7:30pm

Where: Basil Sellers Exhibition Centre, corner Vulcan Street and Campbell street, Moruya

Cost: Free

Join us for opening night of this amazing exhibition that showcases talented printmakers. This is a great opportunity to get a sneak peek before the exhibition opens to the public.

The 26 letters of the English alphabet are familiar to most of us, but perhaps not the way the letters are presented in this illustrative exhibition. Each member of the Southern Highlands Printmakers (SHP) was allocated a letter from the alphabet and invited to create an artwork inspired by Australia, the outcome was the creation of ‘An Australian Alphabet’.

Enjoy nibbles and refreshments whilst viewing works that were created using a range of techniques, including:

  • silkscreen
  • lino
  • woodblock printing
  • digital printing
  • etching
  • lithography
  • mono-printing
  • stencilling
  • collagraph
  • letterpress.
