The Basil Sellers Art Prize Retrospective, is an exhibition showcasing the event’s history highlighting the idea of looking back to honour the many artists who have vied for this illustrious prize.

The Basil Sellers Art Prize is a biennial art competition celebrating and awarding artistic excellence and creative practice and offers a prize pool of over $25,000.

Despite a backdrop of crises that plagued 2020, the largest number of entries to date was received from artists across NSW and the ACT.

This exhibition also features works from the People’s choice and Eurobodalla prize winners.

The Basil Sellers Art Prize was founded in 2004 by businessman, philanthropist and art collector Mr. Basil Sellers AM. Through a chance connection to Moruya, Mr. Sellers developed a long and fruitful partnership with the Shire that has supported Eurobodalla’s artistic community in meaningful ways.
