An exhibition of eclectic and contemporary artworks spanning more than twenty years by Eurobodalla-based artist, Shirley Goodhew. Deep Waters showcases a combination of oil and acrylic paintings and 3D artworks that use a range of materials to enhance the subject, providing a unique overall surface finish to her artworks. Goodhew’s practice is strongly influenced by her personal connection with nature. This exhibition explores the artist’s sense of place and her deep interest in the human experience.

Public programs

As part of the Deep Waters exhibition program, we will be running the following events.

  • Opening night: Friday 22 March, 6pm to 8pm
  • Artist in residence: Saturday 13 April, 10am

Artist in Residence
Shirley Goodhew will be at the Bas for a one-day residency. The audience is welcome to engage with Goodhew, where she will happily answer questions about her exhibition, Deep Waters and her extensive art practice. Visitors may also quietly observe Goodhew as she makes and creates within the art gallery.
