Workshop: Collage and dyeing on paper with Gillian Wilde

12:30pm - 3:30pm

Where: Basil Sellers Exhibition Centre, corner of Vulcan and Campbell streets, Moruya.

Cost: $120

Join Gillian Wilde, 2022 winner of the Eurobodalla award in the Basil Sellers Art Prize and explore the various techniques of mark making for collage papers using inks and paint.

In this workshop participants will explore how paper can be applied using soft and hard edges and layering, as well as introducing oil-based pastels to create a unique and individual sheet of collage marks.

Participants should bring at least one image of rocks to use as inspiration for the final image making.

At the completion of the workshop, participants will take home a hand-dyed sheet of transparent paper, and an image created using collage papers. You'll also have acquired new techniques that can be applied to a range of art activities.

This workshop is perfect for anyone who:

  • enjoys getting messy and hands on
  • want to take their collage practice further.

Saturday Sessions at the Bas are open to adult residents and visitors interested in immersing themselves in a fun and hands-on class. Participants can learn artistic techniques taught by some of Eurobodalla’s most talented artists. No previous experience is necessary.
