About your presenter

Michelle Slezak has a love of using waste materials as the main component to creating something playful and visually intriguing.

Regular visits to the tip with her father and exposure to tools and practical skills have been part of the discovery for creating with different materials.

As a child, rolling up the bus ticket while going to town is her first memory of manipulating a piece of paper into a spiral. Many years later, textiles from the rag bag became a treasure of opportunities and has been an integral extension to her creativity.

Michelle entered a couple of pieces in the Revive exhibition at The BAS in 2019 and was warmly greeted with appreciation of her work. She continues to create with donated and discarded waste materials to create unique artworks.

Bookings required by Wednesday 6 November 2024, 4pm
