Art exhibition: Kosciuszko to Niseko - Carleta Delac
-
Where: Mechanics Institute, Page Street, Moruya
Opening hours: Daily, 10am – 4pm
Carleta Delac is an emerging artist who began painting in 2017 after a nursing career of 46 years. While she has explored various mediums such as oils, watercolour and mixed mediums, her preference is to work in acrylics.
Delac attributes her inspiration for the Snowy series to the years she spent living in the Snowy Mountains with her young family and later the time she spent in Japan in winter. Her artworks express her passion for cold climate activities and the dynamic, pristine landscapes of the high country.
Through her art, she transports viewers to the places she longs for and desires, drawing inspiration from her experiences in the places that she loves.
Delac conveys the joy, energy, and dream-like essence of living in cold climates, expressing a deep sense of contentment through her paintings on canvas.
