Mechanics Institute

Bas About Town proudly presents local artist David Ramsland at the Mechanics Institute in Moruya.

David Ramsland has lived and worked in Eurobodalla since 1986. David has painted extensively throughout his life, developing his own style and techniques, as well as observing and learning from others, he has been fortunate to focus on his love of painting more since retiring several years ago. David usually paints in oils and occasionally acrylics, drawing inspiration from the environment in which he lives.

This exhibition showcases a range of his works (large and small) that typify his artistic creativity. On display will be traditional landscapes, seascapes and bucolic vistas as well as pieces reflecting more contemporary abstract interpretations of nature. David’s art is characterised by the lightness, simplicity and freedom of the brushwork he uses to evoke an imaginative interpretation of the interplay of light and mood within a subject.
