Art exhibition: Collective Minds - Bingie Collective

-

Where: Mechanics Institute, 13 Page Street, Moruya

Opening hours: Daily, 10am – 4pm

Cost: free

The Collective is a group of seven local artists who meet weekly at Bingie Pottery studio. Formed in 2020 after the Black Summer fires, the group began as a way to reconnect, create and support one another through clay and conversation. Under the guidance of master potter John Payne, each artist explores their own creative path while sharing feedback, encouragement, and laughter.

The exhibition showcases a diverse and lively mix of ceramics, paintings, woodwork and more. Visitors to the exhibition can expect to see everything from delicate pyrography and sculptural ceramics to expressive paintings. Each piece reflects the unique style of its maker, yet together they form a cohesive and joyful celebration of local creativity.

Artists featured:

  • John Payne – Master potter and facilitator
  • Patricia Boisgard – Printmaker, painter, and ceramicist
  • Wendy Pollard – Pyrographer and sculptural ceramicist
  • Rein Muller – Woodworker and ceramic sculptor
  • Astrid vanDrie Muller – Painter and ceramic sculptor
  • Josephine Muller – Painter, airbrush artist, and ceramic sculptor
  • Ruby Muller – Jewellery maker and ceramicist.
