Yvonne Boag
Scottish born printmaker, painter and sculptor Yvonne Boag (1954) arrived with her family in South Australia in 1964. Yvonne studied visual art and graduated from the South Australian School of Art under Franz Kempf (Dip FA – Printmaking 1977) and has a Master of Fine Art, Monash University, Australia (2000)
After graduating, she has had periods living and working in Melbourne, Sydney, the Lockhart River Aboriginal community, and in Paris for three years. But it is South Korea that has dominated her work since she first visited in 1993. For more than 20 years, Yvonne divided her time between South Korea and Australia, spending 10 months a year in Seoul, the rest in Sydney.
Yvonne is an artist with an international reputation, having exhibited regularly in Australia and South Korea as well as exhibitions in Japan, Europe and Scotland.
She taught art at the National Art School, Sydney University, University of New South Wales and the Australian National University and has been an invited Professor at Ewha Women’s University and Hong Ik University in Seoul, South Korea.
